Account and data deletion

We care about the privacy and security of your data. You can delete your Caloorie account and the data linked to it at any time, using one of the methods below.
Important: cancel your subscription first
Deleting your Caloorie account does not cancel a paid subscription you started through Google Play. To avoid further charges, cancel your subscription in your Google account before deleting your account.
To cancel your Google Play subscription
- Open the Google Play Store app on your Android device.
- Tap your profile icon in the top right corner.
- Go to Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions.
- Select Caloorie and tap Cancel subscription.
After cancelling, you can keep using Pro features until the end of the billing period you have already paid for.
1. Delete your account in the app (fastest)
- Open Caloorie and sign in.
- Tap your name in the top right to open your profile.
- Tap DELETE ACCOUNT.
- Confirm the deletion.
For your security, if you signed in a while ago, the app may ask you to sign out and sign in again before it can delete your account.
2. Request deletion by email
If you have uninstalled the app or can’t access it, email us from the address registered to your account:
- To: info@caloorie.com
- Subject: Caloorie Account Deletion Request
We will ask you to confirm the request to verify that it’s really you, and then start the deletion.
What is deleted and what is kept
Permanently deleted
- Account information: your profile and sign-in account, including the name you gave us and your email address (except for the free-trial record described below).
- App and health data: your calorie and meal history, weight records, goals and analysis results. This deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.
About photos: meal photos are processed only to analyse your meal. Caloorie does not save them, so there are no photos to delete.
Kept for a limited time or anonymised
- Legal obligations: billing records, such as payments and subscription purchases, are kept securely only for as long as the law requires (typically 5 to 10 years, depending on local law), and only so they can be shown to legal authorities if required. They are never used for marketing or any other purpose.
- Free-trial record: to prevent repeated use of the free trial, we keep your email address and the date you first signed up. This record contains no other information and is used for no other purpose.
- Technical logs: crash reports and performance data may be kept in fully anonymised form. They cannot be used to identify you.
How long deletion takes
Apart from the records listed above, all your data is removed from our servers within 30 days of your deletion request.
